This is our friend Charlie. Isn't he the most purr-ty kitty? Charlie presented to Village Centre Animal Hospital after being released from the Ontario Vet College (OVC). Seeking continued care following a complicated diagnosis of a rare immune mediated red blood cell disorder. Charlie has frequented our clinic for progress exams and bloodwork while following closely with the OVC. With each visit we are happy to see an improvement in his PCV (packed cell volume) values. Todays visit showed he is continuing in the right direction and is doing so well. He is a lively, spunky young guy who we have grown very fond of. With an extra few toes to add to his uniqueness we enjoy his special visits with us. Whenever your pet starts showing changes to their health, it is important that you reach out to a vet clinic immediately to discuss those symptoms. Symptoms that are progressing quickly would indicate an emergency with your pet. Charlie is fortunate to have parents who immediately reacted to his health issues by going to an emergency vet clinic given the time of day his symptoms began to worsen. Never hesitate to call with any concerns you have. You are their voice, it's our job to listen and treat as necessary. #villagecentreanimalhospital #immunemediatedblooddisorder #catsofinstagram #vetlife #vettechlife #polydactyl @ontvetcollege #universityofguelph
